A JOURNEY TO SHAMBALLA

Two people, a project. Conceived by the composer Alex Voorhees (lead singer of the heavy metal band IMAGO MORTIS) together with the talent and lyricism of the singer Julia Crystal, the album "A Journey To Shamballa" has what many producers, record labels, public and listeners of good music in general want: awareness around the musical approach they often do develop.
Based on new age music, JULIA CRYSTAL masterfully blend elements of classical, folk, pop, progressive rock and latin rhythms as well as electronic music. Drawing on philosophical, poetic and spiritual lyrics, with great unselfishness in your posts, this masterpiece takes the listener on a real journey into the realm of "Shamballa".

"Shamballa" is a perfect land, mentioned in the sacred books of Hinduism and Budism, in which reside masters of supreme knowledge, where happiness reigns with a luring and enchanting music, peace and love. A kind of paradise right here on Earth but invisible to the eyes.

This masterpiece promises a journey through musics - told in a trilogy of songs - to this kingdom. The other nine songs complete the legacy with positive messages and beautiful tales for every single person. The songs were made with compassion and love, in a process that took over a year. Several musicians helped us on the way, with brillant guest appearance with their own chemistry to this album . Recordings and arrangements were divided in the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Buzios and Porto Alegre (Brazil) and were produced by Alex Voorhees himself.

Among the guest musicians we highlight "Alex Navar" (Tuatha de Dannan band, played Uillean Pipe and Tin Whistle), the bass players “Pedro Santos” (Palácio Moderno band), “Marcelo Val” and Fabio Machado, “Kevin Shortall” (Café Irlanda, guitars ), “Paulo Rogerio Viana” (flamenco guitar), “Rodrigo Alves” (from Parallax band), Carlos "Tayo" Pardal and Mauricio Blues Biango (guitars) and Tiago Connal (percussion).

This is not the first Julia Crystal release. She’s on the road since 2008, with the release of "To My Little Star" album also in partnership with the composer Alex Voorhees. In addition, Julia has also participated in other artist’s songs and released some covers, enthusiastically received by a select group of fans.
This sudden success on the internet called attention of many people, including radio stations, that played some of Julia’s songs. Now we’re still in business with lots of activities, including an internation contest called "ArtistSignal" and releasing the full length throughout Brazil and Américas and all over the world!
